4th of July in Disneyland
What to Expect From Disneyland During Independence Day
4th of July right around the corner, have you thought about going to Disneyland to celebrate? Disneyland resorts are already known for their nightly spectacular shows (excluding Fantasmic for now), you know that Independence Day will be a showstopper.
Here are some scheduled events for the Disneyland resorts for the weekend before and during the 4th of July. If you can’t make it this year, you will know what you will be looking forward to if you decide to go next year.
“Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” – From July 1 – July 4th Disneyland will have a special 4th of July fireworks in the center of the park, above Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.
“World of Color” – At Disney’s California Adventure for one night only on July 4th, will have a patriotic version of World of Color that will show twice, before the Fourth of July Concert in Disneyland.
Military Bands – On July 3rd, different military bands will be playing throughout resorts. The complete schedule is here.
Since this is a summer holiday, you can expect to see a high volume of crowds. With families looking for places to celebrate Independence Day, Disneyland is the place to go for the best fireworks. I suggest going early in the day and ride a few rides, and when the firework shows approach take it easy and find a cozy spot to watch the show.
Disneyland tip: Behind the castle in Fantasyland is always a great spot to watch fireworks. For added fun, try to time getting on a ride during the show like Thunder Mountain.
