Last Minute Disney: Halloween
It happens all the time, life is busy and you are surrounded by your own chores and the list is piling up. Maybe you have kids and you are busy making sure they are ready for school or taking them to any after-school activities. Your job is asking you to work extra hours because the workload is piling up. Life is busy that the holidays are sneaking up on you. And BAM, you realize Halloween is only a week away and you have no pumpkins, no candy and no decorations. What now?
In this post, I will be helping out the most frazzled people that just don’t have time to decorate, or simply let time escape their fingers and need to find a quick fix for the Halloween season, thanks to Disney!
I am actually one of those frazzled parents where I just pushed the task of decorating to the back of my mind, and here it is a week away from Halloween and nothing to show for it. I had so many plans, but I didn’t think realistically and that was ultimately my downfall. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Nowadays we do have access to so many things that could make these holidays a little easier to decorate, from already decorated pumpkins from craft stores to SFX lights so scary and elaborate you can be done by setting a couple up.
Here is a list of decorations that can be set very easy and very last minute to help keep your spooky.

Disney Haunted Holiday Light Collection
I first heard about this collection from Disney Fashionista as they first came out and I kept the link in hopes I would remember and check them out when I came across them.
This collection is mostlly LED light projections of favorite spooky Disney characters to give your house that “Not So Scary” feeling for your trick or treaters. There are three LED projections that I know of, a trick or treating Mickey, Maleficent the dragon, and Jack Skellington.
These are perfect for last minute set up, and could just be enough for a fun Halloween look.
I found these projectors at Lowes and run around $10-$13.
There are also light up sculptures of vampire Mickey and witch Minnie Mouse that look adorable sitting on your front lawn or in the window.
Both of these are around $34 each and easy installation; stick it in the ground and plug it in!
To end with the Haunted Holiday collection, the last one is a multi-projector that comes with 6 different graphics
A fun Halloween light projector with 6 different Mickey fun graphics and blinking red light overlay are just as fun as the other light projectors.
Also found this fun projector at Lowes for just $17.
Mostly popular with car lots, what I call inflatable buddies have become more accessible to the public for holiday decorations. Christmas is usually the season you see these the most, but they have crossed over to the Halloween side.
The ones I found just shopping around were mostly of Mickey and Minnie, and different variations of either Vampire Mickey or Witch Minnie. I think there is a theme going on.
They usually stand about 3.5 to 4 feet tall and require an extension cord to the spot you would like to put them. They sometimes can be loud, but some can be quiet given the air that is constantly pushed into them. I haven’t tested them out myself, but these fun inflatable buddies are usually in big department stores on display and you can gauge the noise yourself.
There are other Disney characters available but can be harder to find in stores and thus more expensive.
Easy Pumpkin Design
I recently did a poll on Twitter, asking how far along people were with their pumpkins. I was curious because I haven’t started on my own pumpkins.
Random curiousity question time: Do you already have your pumpkins carved/painted/designed?
— 👻MousEEKers👻 (@TheMouSeekers) October 24, 2017
Surprisingly, out of the 14 votes I got, the majority said they weren’t doing pumpkins. I was starting to wonder if it was because of all the work that it goes into carving pumpkins.
For those that simply don’t have time, don’t have the room, don’t have kids, or think it’s gross, I can see why this is a tradition to set aside. Like I said before there are a lot of inventive ways now that make it extremely easy to still set out pumpkins for good ole Halloween.
Pumpkin push-ins are relatively new and extremely easy to do. I’ve seen only Disney ones like the one posted above of Mickey, and other favorite Disney characters. To use this product, all you have to do is stick in the appendages and you are done! How easy is that?
Then there are the ready-made pumpkins. Pumpkins that are already a sculpted plastic with lights inserted, so all you have to do to install is to just plug it in.
These are harder to find, but they can be found in most department stores or any online delivery stores.
Window clings are another easy install and go decoration that is both festive and fun. Just peel the stickers and place them on your windows and both Trick or Treaters and you will enjoy the decorations. Plus they are very cheap and can be reusable for next year! They run around $4-6 a pop.
There you have it, 4 fun, festive and easy Halloween decorations for those very last minute spooky celebrations! Hope you enjoyed this list and got some ideas from it.
I know I missed quite a bit of easier Halloween decorations. Let me know in the comments your favorites that you use!
